Advanced Mock Trial: DV/Nonfatal Strangulation

This training will include a review of the legal challenges with Ohio’s strangulation law, followed by a mock trial of a DV/nonfatal strangulation case. Forensic nurses will have an opportunity to provide fact or expert testimony and experience direct and cross-examination by attorneys. Lawyers will have the opportunity to observe or participate during the mock trial.

CLE and Advocacy credits are approved. 

Learner Outcomes for Nursing: Forensic nurses will have improved knowledge of court testimony for nonfatal strangulation cases.

Registered nurses that attend 80% of activity and complete an evaluation with attestation will receive 7.25 nursing contact hours.
